Inhabited Sculptures This project is a series of 4 minimal spaces (less than 20 sq. meters), designed according to a specific typology of landscape. Each Sculpture is designed as a land art installation that creates a trouble event in the landscape. But each Sculpture is also designed to be inhabited : It is a monastic place to retreat or to live in that offers a very singular point of view on the environnement. The minimalist approach concerns not only design but also function: to provoke a spiritual experience, to create a constant dialogue with its occupant. "A room for London" A spectrum of colours appears when white light enters a prism. In Isaac Newton’s time, it was believed that white light was colourless, and that the prism itself produced the colour. The combination of Newton’s particle theory with Huygen’s wave theory showed that colours are present in the incoming light, that the prism did not create them. Our project is an architectural metaphor of this discovery. The white light - being the city of London - will be refracted inside the London prism into a spectrum of possibilities. Facing such frenetic urban scenery in reference to Newton specific colour discovery is an appeal to question the evidences.
